REPREVE®,
REPREVE® recycles post-consumer plastic bottles including Ocean-Bound Plastic (plastic at risk of polluting our oceans) into high-performance yarn that is traceable and certified. This yarn is spun into the fabric we use to make our swimwear.
All REPREVE® fibres are embedded with a technology called FiberPrint® and just like DNA it allows us to trace and verify the garment’s origin.
REPREVE® is certified by OceanCycle, a social organisation who work to reduce plastic pollution in our oceans and support coastal communities.

Conscious Packaging
All freetides poly-bags and mailers are made from 100% certified Ocean-Bound Plastic (OBP). The Ocean Bound Plastic certification guarantees traceability so we know the plastic recycled was at risk of polluting our oceans. OBP is abandoned plastic waste that has not been recycled responsibly at a managed tip site and is left abandoned either at an uncontrolled site or as litter along the coastline. Our packaging supplier is a certified B Corp, ensuring the origins of our packaging meet the highest standards of environmental and social transparency, impact and accountability.

Slowing Down Fashion
We believe fashion needs to slow down, which is why we have designed high-quality, wearable pieces that are made to last. We are saying no to fast moving trends and are committed to breaking the cycle of overproduction which causes the high turnover of disposable garments within our retail system. We create limited collections of timeless, versatile pieces and we don’t restock. We are encouraging our sisterhood to invest in quality swimwear because by investing in longevity we commit to reducing garment wastage and preventing overconsumption.

Supporting Local Communities
We have carefully selected a manufacturer who shares our values supporting fair working practices and making a difference to local communities. Our manufacturer prioritises the well-being of workers, ensuring they are paid well above minimum wage, are provided with free healthcare for them and their families and work in safe conditions. Our manufacturer also supports Bali Street Mums, a charity that homes mothers and children who are living on the streets or have been victims of trafficking. They provide safe housing, clothing, toiletries as well as educational classes to help the children start school and the mothers find work. By choosing to work with this manufacturer, we aim to have a positive impact and care responsibly for the local communities who make our swimwear.
